A very warm welcome to one of Autistic Revolution's community events hosted by Laura Hellfeld, Neurodivergent Nurse Consulting.
We are excited to welcome back Cat Regi of Badibidu to guide us through an hour of an anti-perfection water colouring session.
Cat creates a very low-demand and chilled atmosphere for us to take a break and rest with some creativity.
Please note that while your space in the event is covered, you will need to have your own supplies to take part. Catherine has listed supplies on the left hand side of the below linked page.

Your young person is welcome to join along with you!
Please note that the session has limited spaces.
If you would like to 'pay-it-forward', you are able to make a donation to Autistic Revolution when securing your ticket via Eventbrite or via our Just Giving page below. These funds will help cover a future community event.

SAME FOOD AS SELF CARE
A FREE and by donation webinar on February 27th, 7-9 pm GMT. Donations are for Autistic Revolution!
Same Food as Self Care
Guided by Jenny Loughran, Scott Neilson & Laura Hellfeld
We're Fundraising for Autistic Revolution!
Autistic Revolution is a new, international digital magazine that is developed exclusively by autistic and otherwise neurodivergent folk. We have created Autistic Revolution to help provide information and build community.
We have been thrilled that so many of you have accessed our launch issue and we are busy creating issue 2 for February.
Currently, Autistic Revolution is being managed, produced & financially supported by volunteers.
While we are taking steps to secure additional funding sources, we are keen to keep the magazine going & to access our software as a team.
Therefore, we are excited to announce that we are hosting our webinar ‘Same Food as Self Care’ on February 27th as a fundraiser for Autistic Revolution.
Please secure your space via the EventBrite link & choosing a 'Donation' ticket. You will then be prompted to write in a donation amount that you are comfortable with giving to AR.
Webinar Description:
Together we will explore the Neurodivergent food trait of ‘same food’. Same foods are foods that we have a great attachment to, our personal favourites. We may eat these foods every day in order to bring ourselves routine or comfort.
Participants will be welcomed to draw or look up an image of one of their same foods. Please have creative tools (Ie. colouring pencils, paper, wrappers) on hand! For those comfortable, we can share these foods and community moment with one another.
We will then explore our emotional & sensory responses to our chosen same food. Participants will be encouraged to draw or write what emotions, colours, shapes, music (or anything else!) that they feel when thinking of their same food. We will explore how our same foods therefore provide an important piece to our mental well-being & self-care.
Participants will then be guided to create scripts for themselves to help navigate social eating scenarios & advocate their food needs.
Please note that this session is to facilitate fun and exploration and is not a support session.
